How we work
We advise on private medical insurance and nothing else. That narrowness is deliberate. It is what lets us know how each insurer on our panel prices, underwrites and behaves when a claim is made, and to place a client precisely rather than approximately.
The work begins with a conversation about what you want the cover to do, and the recommendation follows from that. It arrives as a considered view, in plain English, with a written summary you can keep: what is covered, what is not, and why.
We are a small practice of specialist advisers by design. Each client has one of them. If yours is away, a colleague who already knows your file steps in; you are never passed to a stranger.
Who we act for
Families who want one policy, properly structured, that covers everyone and is reviewed each year without being asked. Directors, partners and owners who want their own cover and their firm's arranged with the same care. People with a medical history that other firms have found inconvenient, where the structure of the policy matters more than its price. And people who have held cover for years without anyone looking at it, and would like to know whether it still fits.
What you will not find here
- No prices on this website. A premium quoted without a conversation is a guess, and we do not guess.
- No comparison tables. The policies on our panel differ in ways a table cannot show, and the differences are where the advice is.
- No review badges. We would rather you judged us on the conversation itself.
- No call centre. The number on this page rings in the practice, and the person who answers knows who you are.
Discretion, in practice
Medical insurance involves personal information, and we treat it as such. Your adviser is the only person at the firm who needs to know your circumstances. Your details go to the insurer arranging your cover and nowhere else, and never for marketing. We do not run marketing lists, and we will not contact you other than about your cover. Where you ask us to keep your other advisers informed, we do; where you do not, we do not.
How we are paid
By commission from the insurer when a policy is arranged. There is no fee for our advice, and the premium is the same as it would be direct. Our Terms of Business set this out in full, and you receive them before we act for you.
